Lasso

Lasso as a definition is a long rope with a running noose at one end. Instead of being inspired in; this textile is a result of. It has both special touch and aesthetic besides some special frayed channels so the light can pass through very softly. It is half industrial - half crafted, woven in electronic looms and cut by hand. This project is very attractive and addictive as a candy and has been one of the top challenges and discovery on my career as a textile designer. This project is about serendipia, stumbling upon, chance discovery, fortuity and accident.

Bio-inspired fabric

Uniqueness :The textile can coil and uncoil upon human touch, can absorb carbon form from atmosphere based on the features of leaves and artificial photosynthesis and chances of providing water at locations where oxygen is less but exposure to sunlight is possible. Inspiration: memosa-pudica plant (bio-inspiration). Challenge: To deduce features of memosa pudica, artificial photosynthesis and incorporate into textile fabrication. Production : Two methods; First by compression rolling and second by edgebinding. Team Members: Pradeep Yammiyavar & Rajatesh Nath Barbhuiya.

DVELAS

DVELAS recovers used sails to transform them into contemporary designs, emerging as a creative reaction to harness the vast amount of material disposed from sailing ships, taking their aesthetics, materials, techniques and forms as a new way and inspiration for design. DVELAS produces in Limited and Unique Editions: These series originating from a specific sail, are identified with a tag with data about the source of the sail as the homeport, the sailboat, the type of sail and the original sailmaker.

2023 Revive Collection

This collection of scarves looks optimistically to the future in the midst of epidemic and global conflict. The patterns tell a metaphorical tale of pre and post apocalypse with a story involving cellular experiments, mutation, reflection, reconstruction. The unique patterns are created with the Studio's own digital software, which uses body movement to reconstruct digital data and reveal organic details not possible solely by programming. They are asymmetrical and do not repeat. Hand finished, the patterns are digitally printed onto natural fabric which reproduces the detail of the designs.

Tactical

Three-dimensional textile surface realized through the manipulation of the screen-printing technique. The textile has a parametric pattern, and a customized coating mixture matched to a smooth base fabric, that gives to the textile an exclusive tactile sensation. The features of this fabric are highlighted by applying it to a wearable context to give the wearer a different sensorial experience related to the interaction with the body through the sense of touch.

Traditionally made Silk Screen print designs inspired by Victorian history with a mix of different flowers reimagined and symbolised to have a 60s and 70s colourful twist on a blue or black background which will be constructed and completed using modern techniques and applied to garments in a fashion collection
